David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an investigation into claims about questionable actions towards young women.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works in total, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
