The British government is ready to advance with using the total value of immobilized Russia's holdings to support the Ukrainian military campaign, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a collective announcement, the heads of state of the UK, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this coordinated action would increase strain on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and persuade Moscow to engage in negotiations.

They further noted that the decision would be executed in strong partnership with the United States.

UK sanctions have immobilized more than £25bn of Russian resources since the Russian government initiated its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. But, up to this point, funds provided to Ukraine using Russian funds had exclusively been drawn from earnings and returns earned on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and Germany were aligned in their desire to push forward toward utilizing the full value of the immobilized Russia's state holdings to end the war.

He stated that additional sanctions in the coming days and weeks would increase the strain on the Russian government.

This statement comes after European Union leaders gathered in the Danish capital recently to debate employing immobilized Russia's holdings for a €140bn credit to Ukraine.

Recently, US President Donald Trump called on G7 allies to take or utilize immobilized Russia's holdings, according to media sources.

The total of frozen Russia's assets in the European Union is calculated to be nearly €211bn.

Russia carried out extensive aerial attacks across Ukraine on recently, resulting in electricity outages in significant regions of the capital city, the city, and several other zones.

Two people were fatally injured and a minimum of 20 people were injured in the assault, Ukrainian officials stated.

In a message on social media following the strike, Zelensky stated that the premeditated assault targeted public and utility structures.

"What is required is not just talk but concrete steps - from the America, Europe, and the Group of Seven - in providing anti-aircraft weapons and implementing restrictions," he stated.

"All penalty impositions weakens Moscow's military apparatus," Zelensky declared, in a different message.

Also on Friday, Zelensky stated to the press he would urge Sir Keir to participate in the Purl scheme, under which partner nations acquire military equipment from the United States to provide to Ukraine.

While applauding the Britain's consistent assistance for the Ukrainian government, he noted it should demonstrate clearly that it would engage in the program, as well as apply additional restrictions on the Russian Federation.
